It is a very difficult decision. Both seem a great pair of binoculars. However, the Value-running war on the price you are willing to pay up to $ 300 + 12 mm above the opening? can make a difference. From $ 149 to be in my humble opinion, the 10x50 give many years of good service and 25% of what you pay for another pair.

The opening would be if you do not mind paying the additional funds will be very nice. You either did not add much weight, so you should be able to handle easily.

I want to go with the 10x56 to capture the light that is 25% more than in the 10x50. However, I could not buy blindly, twins or more important position. What do they think, how you can keep in the administration still on an object? What kind of help at a glance? Can a pair of glasses if you wear them?

All these things can be said, if you have a partner in the eye and see what they are.

If you are not on a business that what you wear, make sure the purchase will go the store, you can return within a reasonable time. Be aware of restocking fees.

If your arms can be made as long as 3 hours without much effort to go with a greater openness. Anyway, if you can not do is always better to moderate enlargement of the opening and the arm can stick anywhere you go.

The monarch 10x56 has a more open and apparent field of view as a slight weight gain (1.9 vs. 2.5 lb). I think I'm going for the 10x56.
