I have 2 questions about plants and making a window box for flowers? - making window boxes

1. When my mother died 2 years ago, a friend gave me this plant and still in its original pot and the plant is beautiful, I must leave, or in a large pot? I will not die, the plant can be a lot to me.

2. Who knows how to parent plant window boxes and if so, to me the steps and everything I do?
